Janice Horrell has sung southern gospel music for 55 years with numerous groups including the Celestials, the New Samaritans, the Jenkins Family, and the Horrell Family. Janice was forced to retire recently due to her health.

Her grandson Joshua Horrell decided to organize a concert as a celebration of her legacy in gospel music. On March 1 at Christian Fellowship Church in Wallace, NC, a host of people who sang with her in the past came together to sing some of the songs from those groups. It was an impressive evening to celebrate the accomplishments of an impressive lady.
